Presentation (7/10)

Round cake. Thick frosting layer on top. Thinner layer on sides. Roasted coconut flakes on sides give both texture and colour. Clean look. Few frills but well-executed.

Texture (8/10)

Good coordination of textures. Crunchiness was not over or underwhelming. Less carrot chunks than expected. No significant outliers in consistency.

Frosting (9/10)

Frosting is smooth and silky. No graininess at all detected. Tang from cream cheese is present in good proportion but not overwhelming. Top thickness does not detract from taste and the richness does not become unbearable after the first few bites.

Composition (7.5/10)

Walnut chunks are evenly sized and distributed. Carrot chunks are present but less than expected. Frosting to cake ratio reasonable.

Taste (8.5/10)

Carrot taste is front-and-centre to a good degree without detracting from the other flavours present. Could taste the walnuts. Their flavour mingled well with the cake. Taste of frosting was nailed.
